“Avatar” Sweeps 3D Tornado & RealD Becomes The Major Cooperator

American brand RealD has worked on film of 3D field for 30 years. From the “ice age: the dawn of the dinosaurs”, “A Christmas Carol”, “Monsters Vs Aliens”, to current Cameron’s “Avatar”, its 3D technology has been widely applied, and now RealD become the major cooperator in such a field. SONY has formally announced to cooperate with RealD, in order to strengthen the competitiveness of 3D entertainment market.

Recently, the giant JVC have also said that they have reached a cooperation agreement with RealD and will make 3D technology into LCD display and other consumer electronics. It is only few days from the time that Sony announced their collaboration.

It is reported JVC will launch its new products with RealD 3D, the main function of which is to support the transfer from 2D image to 3D image. JVC has planned to sell its products to film company or television with the price 300 million yen.

In order to improve product competition, lower operating costs, the JVC and Kenwood(car/home audio manufacturer) announced to establish JVC Kenwood last October 1, whose main business are sound equipments of both vehicles and home appliances.
