Especially for those who want to watch movies online, although they look forward iPad’s new concept and experience, they still hesitate to buy one. However, Adobe has published a post on its Adobe Flash Platform very early, which suggested flash apps will run on the iPad.

We announced the Packager for iPhone at MAX 2009 which will allow Flash developers to create native iPhone applications and will be available in the upcoming version of Flash Pro CS5. This technology enables developers to create applications for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad (though applications will not initially take direct advantage of iPad’s new screen resolution). It is our intent to make it possible for Flash developers to build applications that can take advantage of the increased screen size and resolution of the iPad.

We have known YouTube and TED.com has released the iPad version of their websites. As to other websites, such as Hulu.com, related solutions will come sooner or later. It is indeed convenient and enjoyful to watch various programmes at ABC.com through iPad. However, it is only available for Ameriacan users because of copyright protection.

Not until later this month, 3G-equipped iPad models will arrive in the market. And AT&T has gotten its 3G network ready for iPad traffic. Nonetheless, AT&T is confident that it will be able to handle the extra traffic from Apple’s shiny new device iPad. It appears to think that iPad users will get the bandwidth they need primarily from Wi-Fi.

AT&T is going a different route by letting customers buy 3G service on a month-to-month basis. The iPad will launch with two data plans from AT&T: one with a monthly data cap 250MB a month for $14.99, the other with unlimited data for $29.99.

“We’ve factored the iPad into our network technology planning, and we’re ready,” an AT&T spokesperson said in an e-mail. If the condition finally become out of their expect, they will timely make adjustment.

Thanks to ISuppli Corp, a market research firm, we get some details about Apple iPad’s components prices, even though which is not very accurate but must not far from the truth. Then it is easy to estimate profit margins, with which we may learn something about how much it is going to reduce on the price in the future. Of course it is too early to say that, especially for those Apple fans who can’t wait to get one.

As to the lowest-priced, 16-gigabyte iPad, it has been estimated that Apple iPad cost as little as $259.60, which amounts to 52 percent of its retail price of $499. A high-end 64-gigabyte version of the iPad, which retails for $699, contains components that cost $348.10, according to ISuppli. Take $499 iPad for example, the distribution of the cost is list as follows:

Touch-screen Display: $95
Samsung Processor: $26.8
Aluminum Casing: $10.5
Flash Memory Chip: $29.5
Chip supplied by Bradcom Corp. and used to handle both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless data connections: $8.05
Two other chips used to control the touch screen: $3.7
Chip supplied by Texas Instruments Inc. and used to help control the touch screen:$1.80
Chip supplied by Cirrus Logic Inc. and used for audio: $1.2
other unknown costs: $83.05

ISuppli hasn’t made detailed discription about the unknow parts. But one things is sure that it doesn’t include costs for intangible items such as software development, advertising, patent licensing or shipping. From the list, we can vaguely get more than 40 percent of the iPad’s cost is devoted on touch-screen display and other components of the computer’s user interface. That may be the big reason that most of us are attracted to fall in love with Apple.

More and more people would like to buy stylish laptop instead of large desktop, while the former has become much more powerful and have dropped in price significantly over the past few years. Combined with a laptop’s convenience in terms of mobility, this has driven laptops to the forefront of the computing industry. In fact it is clear that small size combined with small price is a sweet spot for many consumers, which explains the explosion in sales of netbooks.

What Apple has done with the iPad is create a product that is going to compete in large part with netbooks, but will fall short of giving you a complete computing experience. As such Apple expects us to continue buying Macs, while buying an iPad to complement them. If this strategy works, the result in terms of buying strategy for Mac users might change significantly for the laptop versus desktop question.

Let’s take the situation before today. If you were looking to buy a new Mac, the $1,200 MacBook Pro was probably your sweet spot in terms of portability, price and power. However, the math could look very different. The best choice from Apple for a mobile device may now be an iPad given it’s light weight and user experience. By itself it won’t match the capabilities of an entry-level MacBook Pro, but if you combine it with a Mac Mini, for example, you suddenly have two devices that probably match the capabilities of a MacBook Pro. And the price? Well, $500 for the iPad plus $600 for the Mac Mini is actually less expensive than a Macbook Pro.

As we know, desktop gives us a more powerful and expandable computing needs, while the iPad might be able to fill your mobile computing needs. So if you don’t care the inconvenience that desktop may bring you, it is worth considering the iPad plus desktop route when you plan to upgrade your computer.

“Should I buy a laptop or desktop?” When you intend to buy a computer, you may have such a question about how to choose. It is indeed a difficlult decison. Now I want to tell you more than two years ago I made a wrong answer.

As you know, most desktops offer a better price-to-performance ratio. I was attracted by it and had thought I would stay at the place where I worked for at least two years. Even if I was not there, it only took one day’s laborious work to transfer it to another place. So I bought a desktop. However, I left in one year and turned to many palces, while my desktop has been always with me until now. I am really a little tired of it and very much regret why I didn’t buy a laptop at that time. Actually I also don’t make full use of desktop’s more mega performance features. All I do with it is viewing the news, finding informaton, writing the file, and having some basic entertaiments, such as listening to the music, see the movie, and play some small games with less RAM, that I could completely use a laptop instead. Now I am clear I just want a better thing with less money without considering actual requirement.

I don’t mean to say you’d better buy a laptop. If you don’t plan to take it anywhere or don’t mind the hassle of packing it up every time, and have a super demanding on its performance, you could choose to buy a desktop. On the contrary, laptop is the best choice. Anyway, it is all decided by yourself.

Thinking about a tablet computer instead of a laptop? Lenovo is offering to sell you both at the same time.

The China-based computer maker is using the Consumer Electronics Show this week to announce an unusual hybrid product called the IdeaPad U1 that covers the two categories. It can function as a conventional clamshell-style laptop, which runs Microsoft Windows, uses a microprocessor from Intel and weighs in at about 3.8 pounds.

Alternatively, a user can detach the 11.6-inch, 1.6-pound screen and use it like a tablet, Lenovo says. The display includes all the features of a computer, including a Linux-based operating system and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chip, which is not based on the x86 technology used in most PCs but a design licensed from ARM Holdings.

More from Lenovo’s handout materials: A technology called Hybrid Switch enables “seamless toggling” between the two microprocessors. The company says a user, for example, can surf the Web in laptop mode and then continue from the same point without interruption if they detach the screen and move to tablet mode.

Or as Liu Jun, a Lenovo senior vice president, puts it in a press release: “The IdeaPad U1 hybrid notebook is a game-changing technology in the PC industry that lets user switch their PC experience within a single device to match their dynamic lifestyle.”

If nothing else, the product adds to all the commotion in advance of Apple’s expected tablet announcement later this month. But don’t expect to get two computers for exactly the price of one; Lenovo’s press release says price and availability will “vary by region,” though a spokeswoman for the company says the device will be “less than a thousand” dollars. That usually means close to it.
